Active travel is much more than a physical pursuit. Your body, mind, spirit and imagination all of a sudden come alive when there is nothing more between you and the horizon than a beautiful landscape of mountains, lakes and forests. We like to engage in every trip willing to enjoy a unique experience which involves the discovery of awesome natural highlights, local culture, and sometimes even the rediscovery of ourselves.
We have been in this continuous discovery journey for many years, sharing our passion for the mountains of the amazing Patagonia with travellers from all around the world. You might set out to see a special valley, or to get to the top of a mountain. But you´ll eventually sense that it´s the journey, not the arrival, that matters. It´s what you observe and experience as you walk or climb that matters the most. The flight of a condor, the beauty of a rocky spire … We would like to share with you those memorable moments.

Facundo José: Head guide  
Born in Bariloche in 1975.
Mountain Guide certified by the Argentine Mountain Guides Association. Professor of Physical Education with mountain activities specialization. Active member of the local mountain search and rescue team since 1999. Former professor in the "trekking" subject of the Physical Education with mountain activities specialization career in the Comahue National University (2002-2003). Does rock climbing, mountaineering and trekking since 1987. Has made expeditions and climbing trips to the " Fitz Roy " range, Mount Aconcagua, Córdoba (Arg.), Chile, USA, Spain, France and Italy. Since 1997 he works as Mountain Guide and Climbing Instructor for tourism agencies as Active Patagonia, Amazing Argentina, High Travel, Patagonia Experience, Maiten, Vuriloche, Patagonia Outdoors, Transitando lo Natural, Cumbres Patagonia, Cordillera/Del Lago, Pueblo Blanco, Higland Adventure (Brazil), Eco Family, Lapa Estudiantil, Mayer & Mayer, Huala, Karnak, Arrayanes and Turisport from Uruguay, also for institutions such as the Club Andino Bariloche, Lincoln American School Argentina and many others.
During the southern hemisphere summer season 2003/2004 he´s been in charge of the excursions for the Helsingfors Lodge in the "Los Glaciares" National Park (Southern Patagonia), guiding groups of important US, Canadian and Argentine active travel companies such a Backroads, Butterfield and Robbinson, Geographic Expeditions and Wilderness Travel.
Works occasionally as interpreter (English language) in traditional tourist excursions, trip leader, and also as ski instructor and snowshoeing guide for the Club Andino Bariloche. Director of the Cross-country skiing school for this institution during the 2005 season. Avid birder, recently started guiding birdwatchers, mostly travellers from Northern Hemisphere. Speaks English fluidly and has basic Italian language knowledge.

Mauricio Cadillo:
Born in Bariloche in 1973.
Mountain Guide certified by the Argentine Mountain Guides Association. Professor of Physical Education with mountain activities specialization. Active member of the local mountain search and rescue team. Mountain Bike Guide certified by the Argentine Mountain Bike Guides Association. Ski Instructor certified by the Argentine Ski Instructors Association. Practices climbing, mountaineering and trekking since 1990. Has taken part in expeditions to Mount Aconcagua and the Plata range, and have been trekking and climbing in the Alps and other parts of Europe. Works as Mountain Guide since 1999 and is also member of the Meiling Hut staff in Mount Tronador (the highest peak of the area with 3448 meters), guides excursions and ascents in the glaciers of this beautiful mountain every summer since late 2000. Has worked for several enterprises as climbing supervisor, mountain bike guide, camp chief and ski instructor.
Has been collaborator of the "mountaineering I and II" subjects of the Physical Education with mountain activities specialization career in the Comahue National University for two years. He´s actually going through the process to become an internationally fully certified guide (UIAGM), and teaches in the courses for trekking guides of the Argentine Mountain Guides Association. . Speaks English fluidly and has basic German and French languages knowledge.

Carlos "Charly" Galosi :
Born in Bariloche in 1975.
Mountain Guide certified by the Argentine Mountain Guides Association. Professor of Physical Education with mountain activities specialization. Professor in the "trekking" subject of the Physical Education with mountain activities specialization career in the Comahue National University. Does rock climbing, mountaineering and trekking since 1987. Has made expeditions, climbing trips and participated in adventure races to the " Plata " range, Córdoba (Arg.), Cochamó (Chile), USA, Spain, Switzerland, Morocco, Malaysia and Borneo.
Since 1999 he works as Mountain Guide for the Club Andino Bariloche, the Llao Llao Hotel and Resort and several agencies.
Professional sportsman of adventure races (trekking, mountain bike, kayaking, ropes and orienteering), took part in the last seven years in international races such as the CAMDEX, the Adventure Race World Championship, Mild Seven Outdoor Quest, Río Eco-Motion, Desafío de los Volcanes, Patagonia Expedition Race with excellent results. He´s in the Argentine elite of this sport.
In 2004 he received the "Olimpia de Plata", the most important Argentine award for a sportsman in the "extreme sports - adventure races" category. Lately he´s been working as personal trainer for triatlethes and adventure racers. In charge of Trek Patagonia during the southern hemisphere summer season 2003/2004. Speaks good English and has basic Italian language knowledge
