![]() The Nahuel Huapi National Park and the surrounding area offer a wonderful range of spectacular scenery and also cover a significant variety of habitats. From the high-andean through wet forest and transition forest to the Patagonian steppe we can see up to around 110 native bird species. 24 from these are endemic of the Patagonian Andes. Below you´ll find three half-day programs. The module 1 and 2 cover different habitats and will show us a big variety of species. These two modules can be done either independently or together, having this way a full day field trip. The third module focuses on the Andean Condor and requires flexibility. There are different places to go if your main interest is this species and some work better than others depending on the season and on the weather. Difficulty: Easy (50-100 meters/ 150-300 feet of elevation gain, around 5 km/ 3 miles walk) some 2 hours of walking. Please ask for easier tailored variations if necessary. Start at 8:30 AM.
